Four Global Events In 1999

During this very auspicious year of 1999 when we are celebrating 300 years of Khalsa, many of us will be going to Anandpur Sahib to experience and honor the origin of the Panth Khalsa. Along with this once-in-a-lifetime event, we are also going to be focusing this year on the international level so we can uplift and educate humanity with the spirit, purity, values and love of Khalsa. With this goal in mind we will be hosting four global events throughout this year, which will broadcast via our web site, so that everyone can enjoy the science and beauty of the Khalsa.
In the first quarter of 1999, we will celebrate and experience the first pillar of Khalsa -- Bani by hosting a 12-hour virtual global Rensubhai Kirtan, with exceptional ragis from around the world. This will be broadcast on Sikhnet.com on February 28th from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm EST.
In the second quarter we will celebrate and experience the second pillar of Khalsa -- Bana by rebroadcasting many of the historical and uplifting Baisakhi celebrations happening at Anandpur Sahib. This will be on our web site as soon after April 13th as is possible, and we will keep you informed about the exact time.
In the third quarter we will celebrate and experience the third pillar of Khalsa -- Simran via a global meditation to emanate peace in our lives and on our planet. We are enlisting many interfaith groups, as well as other organizations around the world, to join hearts and uplift the energy of the planet. This will be on August 26th..
In the fourth and last quarter we will celebrate and experience the fourth pillar of Khalsa -- Seva by creating T.A.S.K. (The Avenues for Serving with Kindness). On December 4th we'll have an International Day of Seva featuring free kitchens and free clinics that will be hosted by sangats worldwide.
Together, through our love for the Guru and our service to humanity, we will light up the path and walk victoriously into the next millennium, with our hearts carrying the wisdom and knowledge for the Aquarian Age.
