The Crown
The Crown
SS Guru Kirn Kaur Khalsa
Phoenix, Arizona, USA

It would seem a simple thing,
To crown one's self a spiritual king,
Proclaiming to all the inner light.
By self's command to seize the right
To beam the radiance of divine insight,
From the wisdom of the all-knowing mind.
Yet when such a crown is left undesigned,
The rightful one remains behind,
Lingering in the shadow of the company of fools.
To forsake the use of such holy tools,
Casting away divine gold and jewels,
Is to sit in plain and dim unseeing.
Yet rather rise now as a hue-man being,
By conscious coronation, in one's self agreeing,
To the union of the realms of heaven and earth.
