Fourth World Conference of Women

In August 1995, the Bhai Sahiba attended the Forth World Conference of Women in Beijing, China, where she singly represented the 3HO Foundation as a US Government Accredited Organization in the United Nations. She also participated in the Non Governmental Organizations section with 30,000 other women of the world, and said it was an experience of being a global family of women bonding together. Of over 3,500 workshops, Bibiji taught a two hour workshop on Kundalini Yoga and family values which was very well attended.
As a result of all her efforts and work, Bibiji has been selected personally by the First Lady to be a member of Hilary Clinton’s Circle of Women Committee. This committee will implement the changes approved by the UNO meetings. The initial meeting of this committee will be on October 30 and 31 in Washington D.C., which will include a reception with the President at the White House and a luncheon meeting with the First Lady and Tipper Gore. The Circle of Women Committee will be meeting quarterly in Washington D.C.
The Bhai Sahiba, via her efforts and accomplishments, has become a world leader of women’s issues and via this has also brought Sikh Dharma representation in many worldwide organizations. We honor her accomplishments for women and Sikh Dharma.
