Avenues For Giving - Dasvandh And Gurudakshina
Avenues for Giving - Dasvandh and Gurudakshina
Atma Kaur Khalsa, Dasvandh Director
Nam Kaur Khalsa, Gurudakshina Coordinator

Many Kundalini Yoga teachers have asked if they are expected to contribute both Gurudakshina and Dasvandh based on their teaching income. When asked for clarification, the Siri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan, recently said: "We will leave it to the individuals."

Dasvandh is tithing to the Infinite. Your Dasvandh is used to spread the mission of Sikh Dharma and the dharmic lifestyle. Consistent tithing keeps the mind open, free, and receptive to receiving. To quote the Siri Singh Sahib: "Dasvandh is our gratitude, our act of giving. It is the vacuum through which our prosperity flows."

Gurudakshina is linking into the Golden Chain by giving back to the source of the teachings, Yogi Bhajan. 3HO Gurudakshina contributions are used to spread the teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. To quote the Yogi Bhajan: "Gurudakshina is an honest investment of clarity, a graceful link which teachers need to value to keep out of the maya."
