Children’s Corps of Volunteers

The Hacienda De Guru Ram Das Community was facing many issues regarding our children of all ages. To focus on the area of our children, our sangat decided to form a Children’s Corps of Volunteers.
In the past, parents mostly were concerned only with issues pertaining directly to their own children. This resulted in deadlock and little progress.
However, this past year we’ve held a series of meetings in which we used the successful and Aquarian technique of ‘storyboarding’. Through this avenue, we were able to facilitate the input of over 30 participants and create a focused consensus on our immediate goals. The two goals our Corps of Volunteers agreed to develop are:
Creating a local Khalsa preschool
Creating a financial support structure for participation in Khalsa schools
