“ COMMUNICATE TO CREATE YOUR REALITY “
Taught by Ek Ong Kaar Kaur Khalsa ~ Thursday, August 15, 2002, 7:30-9:00 p.m. EST

The Sikh spiritual tradition is based on the Word. It is through our words that we create our reality-how we feel about ourselves, how we view the events that happen to us, and what we attract into our lives. Using Guru Nanak’s Japji, we will explore how to use the power of our own word to create ourselves as God-conscious beings.

“YOGIC PERSPECTIVES OF DEATH AND LOSS”
Taught by Guru Terath Kaur Khalsa Ph.D. ~ Wednesday, August 21, 2002, 7:30-9:00pm EST

This class will examine healthy and practical ways to deal with grief and loss through a conscious and yogic perspective. In the western culture we deny and ignore death so when it comes it hits us hard. As the baby boomers get older and since 9-11 this topic has grown more relevant. Included will be: Yogic technology such as breathing techniques, meditation, and Shabad Guru, as well as the Eastern Philosophy on death. In some cultures a part of daily life is preparing for death. By preparing ourselves for death we find and experience new quality and richness in our everyday lives.
