Hari Kirn Singh has inspired and trained many teachers in Sweden. About one year ago, two of those people began a company to teach yoga classes at corporations in Sweden. They have met with tremendous and inspiring success! Marie Ofvergard and Goran Boll (Jiwan Shakti Singh) began by teaching classes for the Scandinavian Airline System (SAS), Hewlett-Packard, and the Swedish government agency responsible for part of the Swedish health care system. At Hewlett-Packard, more than 10% of the employees participated in the weekly classes. At SAS, Livskraft worked with the corporation on health profiles of those who attended classes, so that they would have before and after health information to evaluate properly the effects of the yoga classes.
With these three major organizations successfully experiencing the many benefits of Kundalini Yoga, Livskraft has been able to springboard to an expanded program of teaching 27 classes each week in Swedish corporations, as of September, 1996. These classes, most of them twice weekly at each location, have been written up in three or four business magazines, Stockholm's second largest morning newspaper, and soon will be on the Internet. These classes have expanded to include the Swedish Aviation Federal Authority; an organization of Sweden's privately operating dentists and medical doctors; two very large insurance companies, including Scandinavia's largest insurance company; Pharmacia Upjohn, which is the world'’s ninth largest pharmaceutical company (3,500 employees in Stockholm); Sweden's two largest banks; and the Swedish post office.
Coming in the beginning of January 1997 there will be classes at IBM, with 1,500 employees in Stockholm, as well as the Swedish Tax Control Authority (the equivalent of the Internal Revenue Service in the U.S.), and several other corporations. Currently Livskraft is working on an international franchise structure for teaching Kundalini Yoga to corporations worldwide.
Jiwan Shakti Singh & Marie are also developing a concept of Kundalini Yoga classes for the executive level in corporations, "so that we can firmly establish Kundalini Yoga both from the top and the bottom at the same time in the corporate world."
