Destiny Meets Time & Space
- From the IKYTA Office
IKYTA is here to connect us all
The events of September 11th have had a deep impact on all of us. We are all re-evalutating our priorities and what is important now. Spiritual identity and endurance are qualities that have taken on more meaning and necessity, so it is not surprising that Kundalini Yoga teachers are in demand, and classes are growing even outside the US as a result of 911. The sacred teachings Yogi Bhajan has given are an invaluable resource to cope with the deep grief and anxiety that have resulted.

For years, Yogi Bhajan has told us there would be a tremendous demand for these teachings. He is encouraging us now to reach out to people, as our very presence will heal and inspire. Now is the time for each of us to answer the call and teach, teach, teach. Now is the time we have been prepared for, when our destinies can serve time and space.

During Winter Solstice in Florida, we had an inspiring meeting of Kundalini Yoga Teachers . Everyone felt the power and importance of connecting with each other, and realized the strength of our community of yoga teachers. For 33 years we have built ourselves through both practicing and teaching Kundalini Yoga. Our destinies are linked through our common practice, and by our longing to serve by sharing this technology.

Now, more than ever, the value of connecting through our Teachers Association is clear. We shared personal experiences of our own practice. We shared our longing to nurture the spirit of our students, and our own longing to be nurtured through our relationships with other teachers. We are a vast network of teachers around the world. Each one of us is a gem - polished through our personal practice. Each of us is a precious resource of the teachings.

IKYTA serves our community of teachers as a touchstone, providing a standard of excellence which we all share. We provide referrals to our full members, worldwide, every day. We publish our quarterly teacher’s newsletter, Kundalini Rising! with a new kriya and meditation in each issue. Also members can find a new meditation from Yogi Bhajan’s current teachings each month at the members section of www.kundaliniyoga.com, courtesy of Millenium Meditations.

Throughout the year and at the Teachers Conference on June 13th, IKYTA will facilitate the networking of Kundalini Yoga teachers, so we can continue to inspire each other and those we teach in these challenging times.

We’re YOUR Teachers’ Association, and we’re here to serve you. We would love to hear from you, and share your thoughts, ideas and experiences post 9-11. Please contact us.
