A Year After
Sept. 11, 2002:
The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) addresses September 11th, one year after.

Sat Nam. The brutal attacks of 9-11 prove to us the oldest principle -- that to maintain freedom constant vigilance is essential. Our freedom needs a watchful eye, strength in union and creative living so that we can see the elements which do not fit in our freedom of thought. We are, with all of our handicaps, a free nation with a lot of liberties and assets. There is always a fight between the “haves” and “have-nots,” and that situation requires that we develop an elegant and conscious system. Had we been as alert as we needed to be, we would not be going through long security lines at airports today. There is much to do, but it needs cooperation, coordination, and sacrifice so that we can live freely again. We need the spirit of God to guide us and the wisdom of the Guru to contain us so that we can enjoy the many blessings and privileges of freedom that are the foundation of this great nation.”
