MEDITATION ~ Triggering the Positive Mind

The positive mind is very essential to help us experience the joy and fun in everything we do. The positive mind allows you to view the exciting possibilities of a situation, and gives you the energy to begin! This meditation can help to trigger the positive mind. By seeing the greatness of each situation, we nurture the attitude of gratitude no matter what we’re dealing with.

[Note: This meditation uses the technology of “One Minute Breath” and it imperative that a person should build up his/her capacity. We strongly suggest that beginners practice the One Minute Breath in increments of 5-10 seconds and working up to 20 seconds. The process of working up to 20 seconds for each increment can take a week, a month or even longer.]

Mudra:
Sit either in a crossed-legged position, or if you are in a chair, make sure that the feet are firmly on the floor. The spine is straight and shoulders are relaxed, the chin is pulled in slightly towards the chest. Place your right palm flat against your forehead, so the center of the forehead is right under the center of the palm. Place your left palm directly on top of your navel point, underneath any clothes, so the navel point is directly under the center of your left palm.

BREATH:
Begin the One Minute Breath: 20 seconds inhale, 20 seconds hold, 20 seconds exhale. (Note: It is suggested that who have never used this breathing technique start with 5-10 second increments.) Be completely aware of the flow of the breath, be in control of it yourself, totally control the in and out of the breath.

TIME:
Start with 3-11 minutes. This meditation can be practiced up to 31 minutes for maximum benefits.

End:
Inhale very deeply and hold. Exhale - forcefully cannon fire the breath out through the
puckered lips.
Relax.
