Kundalini Yoga, Radiance and the Aura
How many times has it happened that you very briefly encountered someone, only to remember them clearly for years to come? The power of our presence can be a light for all to see and we teach through this example. That in itself is a legacy of sorts. The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) teaches us that it is our aura that creates our radiance which creates the impression we make on people. To that end, we are sharing an aura-strengthening yoga set in this issue.
1. Triangle Push-Ups. Stand up. Bend foward and place the palms on the ground. The body forms a triangle. Raise the right leg up, keeping the knee straight. Exhale, and bend the arms to bring the head near the ground. Inhale and raise up to the original Triangle Pose. Contiue for 1 1/2 minutes. Switch legs and continue for another 1 1/2 minutes.
2. Sit in Easy Pose. Extend the left hand forward as if grasping a pole so the palm faces to the right. Put the right palm facing down, crossed under the left wrist. Raise the right hand up over the back of the left hand so both palms face right and the fingers lock. Inhale, raise the arms to 60 degrees. Exhale, bring the arms parallel to the ground. Keep the elbows straight. Continue for 2-3 minutes breathing deeply. Then inhale, stretch the arms up and relax.
3. Put both arms forward, parallel to the ground with the palms facing each other about 6 inches apart. As you inhale, extend the arms backwards towards each other, keeping as high as possible. Exhale, bring them forward to the original position. Continue for 3 minutes with deep rhythmic breaths.
