Kirtan Kriya
By practicing Kirtan Kriya, we begin to understand the cycle of creation. From the Infinite comes life, from life comes death or change. From death or change comes the re-birth of consciousness to the joy of the Infinite through which compassion leads back to life.

Sit straight in easy pose or on a chair. Meditate at the brow point (Third Eye) and produce the five primal sounds:

Sat Pav Easy Pose BW.tif Sa Ta Na Ma.tif

On “Sa” touch the first finger (Jupiter) with the thumb tip. (1)
On “Ta” touch the middle finger (Saturn) with the thumb tip. (2)
On “Na” touch the ring finger (Sun) with the thumb tip. (3)
On “Ma” touch the pinky (Mercury) with the thumb tip. (4)

Begin by repeating the mantra in a normal voice for 5 minutes, then whisper for 5 minutes, then go deep into the sound silently for 11 minutes. Come back to the whisper for 5 minutes and then aloud again for 5 minutes.

To end stretch the hands up as far as possible and spread them wide. Stretch the spine and take several deep breaths. Relax.
