Translating Japji
Translating Japji Sahib

"First - there's the Mool Mantra. Then - Japji explains the Mool Mantra. Then - the entire Siri Guru Granth Sahib explains Japji..." This is what the Siri Singh Sahib told me when he was first beginning to push me in the direction of translating Gurbani. He said, "Gurbani can be understood perfectly in the Amrit Vela and the twilight hours. What you can get done in those six hours (during the Amrit Vela and the twilight times) you can not do at any other time of day. So only translate during those hours."

The process of translating Japji took…from start to finish… nearly three years. The Siri Singh Sahib became deeply involved with the translation in the final months of the process. I am so grateful for the result - "Japji Sahib: The Song of the Soul" by SS Ek Ong Kaar Kaur Khalsa is now available through www.amazon.com.
