Ecumenical Leadership
International Peace Prayer Day, held annually in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico at Ram Das Puri, hosts celebrities, artists, religious leaders and students from many religious and cultural backgrounds that gather to pray for peace. This is one of the numerous international activities the organization coordinates and participates in to bring about world peace and to uplift the consciousness of humanity. Others include United Nations conferences, Interfaith conventions and International Women’s Conferences.

United Nations and International Participation
As an organization dedicated to world peace and harmony, 3HO is a non-governmental member of the United Nations, participating in conferences worldwide. Recent activities include Sikh Dharma participation in the International Conference On Population and Development in Cairo, the International Religious Interfaith Council in Rome, the Women of Vision for Leadership for a New World Conference at Georgetown University, and the International Yoga for Peace Conference in Jerusalem

Prison Programs
Besides offering these technologies to the general public, Sikh Dharma has many Prison Programs throughout the United States which provide life changing correspondence, printed materials and on-site yoga, meditation and counseling services to thousands of minimum to maximum security inmates.

Feeding the Hungry
Two of the basic tenets of the Sikh way of life are to earn one’s living by honest efforts, and to share the fruits with others. Thus, as Sikhs we have a time-honored tradition to feed the poor and hungry of our communities, whomever they may be.

In hundreds of centers throughout the United States and the world, food is served to anyone who wishes to partake. We have many "free kitchen" programs to specifically serve this need in our society. This food is offered to all regardless of race or creed and is given in a spirit of service for the nourishment and upliftment of humanity.
