2001- A New Beginning Numerology in the Year 2001
by Nam Hari K Khalsa.

The year 2001 marks the true beginning of the New Millennium. With the presence of the number One as the gift number we can expect many new developments in the area of science and technology. One represents an initiative spirit, creative drive and exploration of new territories. Many individuals will feel like starting up their own businesses this year, or taking the leap and buying that new home. All of this is well and good, as long as it is tempered by the number Two. The ability to sift through the details and create a plan that addresses the needs of all with a spirit of cooperation and balance are the positive aspects of the number Two. This will then lead us to the influencing number for the calendar year, which is a Three. The number Three represents creativity, nurturing and a joyful spirit. However, in the negative polarity it represents destruction, anger and depression. If an individual or humanity at large does not rise to the call and take steps to initiate positive, personal and social change, there will be much disillusionment and self-destructive behavior.

What would be the solution to keeping on the right track? By the numbers your best friend this year is Sat Kriya. From a yogic perspective this year holds the number 1, 2, and 3, representing the first, second, and third chakras. If the lower triangle is strong and balanced, the energy will be there to initiate, work in balance and harmony and find a creative positive solution against all obstacles. When the base is strong, the future dreams and plans have a foundation for success. As Yogi Bhajan has said, “So, through some discipline, whatever it may be, you can mentally develop. Because ultimately your strength is unlimited when your spirit is with you.” As we all move through the New Millennium may we have the dedication and discipline to conquer all challenges and shine in our most radiant spirit.
