As you study to become an Instructor, you gain a deep understanding and experience of the core science of Kundalini Yoga. You develop the skills to instruct students in Kundalini Yoga kriyas and meditations as taught by Yogi Bhajan. This is a 200-hour course, which includes 160 hours of classroom instruction in a well-defined curriculum. You will have the opportunity to practice your teaching skills in Kundalini Yoga in a practicum setting, participate in early morning Sadhanas, and experience the powerful transformational energy of White Tantric Yoga.
Once you are a KRI Certified Level 1 Instructor you can begin to deepen your ability to teach through your personal practice and through the practice of teaching, you deepen your ability to create the Sacred Space of a Teacher. This prepares you to participate in the KRI Level 2 Practitioner Program. Yogi Bhajan has said, “Practitioners are those who have the experience and are teaching.”
To become a KRI Certified Level 2 Practitioner you must complete 300 hours of training, which includes 240 hours of classroom instruction in the Level 2 modules, and 60 hours of additional requirements to be completed outside of classroom time. The modules include: Conscious Communication; Advanced Meditation and the Mind; Conscious Relationships; Yogic Life Cycles; and Tour of the Body.
In KRI’s Level 3 program, you become a Teacher of truth and spirit. As a Teacher of the Aquarian Age, your projection should be one of purity and service. In Level 3, you will demonstrate your ability to apply your unique presence, knowledge, and experience to serve through Kundalini Yoga related research and/or fieldwork. As the Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan, says, “Remember, as a Teacher, anything and everything you do must upgrade the other person.” He has given us the tools to succeed at this in the two laws for Kundalini Yoga Teachers:

Deliver the student to the Infinite, not to you. Elevate the student to the awareness of the Infinite within them. Connect the student to the flow of the teachings in Kundalini Yoga. That will always stay with them and support them.
