General Tips ~ Dealing with Stress, Fatigue, Anger, and Fear in Tumultuous Times
(Disclaimer: As always, check with your health practitioner before making changes to your dietary and exercise programs.) ** 1. Rest ** 2. Drink a lot of water. Drink fresh juice, if possible. We have found: cucumber and celery for the nervous system, watermelon to cool the liver if you are angry, carrot can be a great anti-oxidant. ** 3. Focus your eating on more greens, fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains; avoid processed foods and refined sugar. ** 4. Take supplements: a good multi vitamin. We have found: Vitamin A,C,E and selenium, an essential fatty acid and a good B vitamin all of these help when the body is stressed. **5. Get healing modalities: Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage (etc.) to keep your energy flowing smoothly. ** 6. Long Deep Breathing can calm and relax the body. Left nostril breathing can calm and soothe the mind. ** 7. Do yoga to strengthen the nervous system, and to give you energy and strength. ** 8. Meditate to help the sub-conscious mind process life’s events, to heal others and to relax. ** 9. Reach out to others: have meals together, watch uplifting movies, pray together, meditate together, talk together. Download with each other, discuss your concerns, listen.
