The Blessings of Giving
+ 2 Meditations and Pictures
Giving is very difficult. When you give, you do not think God is making you give. You think you are giving! ... We have to develop a consciousness that will guide us through life. Believe, as a matter of reality, that whatever is being given is given by God and whatever we are giving, God is telling us to give. That is all. When your mental state becomes that clean, clear and crystal, that crystallization will promise you the Infinite, beyond the heavens and the earth.

The secret of happiness is in your power to sacrifice and uplift others. Happiness is in giving, not in taking. God will give to you. Trust in the fact! You can complain or compliment. Which will you choose? You doubt everybody. Is everybody a living doubt? Are you a living duality? The fact of life is that you and God are one identity. There is no place for duality! What will come to you will come whether you like it or not, but if a bad time comes and you take it in stride, it will leave you alone.

Doing something for someone in silence guarantees you gratification from the universe. Putting someone else's shoes in order, giving water to a thirsty person, feeding a man who is hungry and sharing greetings with your enemy are all blessings.

Beloved God, give us a life of truth, a life of character, a life of compassion, a life which through us
becomes nothing but kindness. Kindness is the law of life. Make us feel it. Make us receive it.
Make us give it, through our words, actions and deeds. May we be very very kind, polite, and firm. Bless us this day and every moment of life.

MEDITATION
Prayer of Surrender
Sit straight in a cross-legged position or on a chair. With the hands held loosely, cross the left wrist over the right in front of the diaphragm. Palms are facing upwards with the thumbs spread apart. Eyes are closed. Sing the Ik Acharee Chand shabd, (Ajai Alai by Gurushabd Singh and Nirinjan Kaur. Jaap Sahib, lines 190-196). It is a uni-mantra, composed of single words which are mega-multiplied. Chant as if you were being recorded-with that consciousness! Continue for 62 minutes. During the last 3 minutes listen to the shabd and do a powerful Breath of Fire. To end, inhale deeply, expanding your chest and shoulders. Expand your body! Exhale and repeat 2 more times. Relax.
