Miracle Story
M.S.S. Sardarni Guru Amrit Kaur Khalsa

Secretary General of Sikh Dharma
Espanola, New Mexico

I was 33 years old at the time this event took place, and had been an Amritdhari Sikh for twelve years. I serve the Guru’s court as Secretary General of the Western Hemisphere.

July 4th to 7th, 1985, Baba Sant Joginder Singh Khalsa Ji came from Takhat Hazur Sahib with a message from Guru Gobind Singh Ji for me. To honor my Spiritual Father, Guru Gobind Singh, I would like to share my story with the Khalsa Panth.

At this time, my western born parents and siblings set up an attempt to kidnap me. They invested a great deal of money with the intent to deprogram me, which basically meant spiritual or physical death. It was impossible for them to reconcile my religious choice to become a Sikh of the Guru.

The Siri Singh Sahib of the Western Hemisphere was teaching at a Khalsa Women’s Training Camp in Espanola, New Mexico. During class, he told everyone he had a vision of me suspended in the air with no support, and he requested all the ladies to pray for me.

During this same time, I was in Los Angeles, and by God’s grace and Guru’s protection, I discovered their intent to kidnap me before it could become a reality. Upon returning to Espanola, New Mexico, I met Baba Sant Joginder Singh Ji, who had arranged to arrive the evening of July 4,. He told the Siri Singh Sahib he was given an image of me at the altar of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in Takhat Hazur Sahib, and was told by the Guru to be with the Siri Singh Sahib no later than this date. Baba Sant Joginder Singh Ji was to give me a message and a gift from the Guru’s altar.

Guru Gobind Singh’s gift to me was a mala and kirpan. His message to me was to keep this mala and kirpan on my altar for His protection, and He wanted me to know that, even though my earthly father had betrayed me, my Spiritual Father was with me.

I know this is a miracle of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It is a story that belongs to the Khalsa Panth, for it reminds us all that the Guru’s presence and influence transcends time and space.

I am departing for India now and will be delivering the following prayer to the Takhat Hazur Sahib. (See the following article for the prayer.)
