Set Roles, Not Goals
Set Roles, Not Goals
M.S.S. Dr. Guru Chander Singh Khalsa, Espanola NM, U.S.A.

Meditation brings awareness and/or consciousness by which we are able to observe our basic subconscious patterns of behavior. Under closer scrutiny we see that these are actually underlying words or word combination patterns around which we operate our lives. They can be for normal, stress, and super stress behavior patterns.

When we give our subconscious new word patterns, by setting new role identities within the subconscious, through repetition (jap) we can by choice dictate new behavior patterns. These new patterns should be structured as if designing an ideal stature.

This very powerful technique will take your consciousness from ‘the cup being one-half empty’ to ‘the cup being one-half full.’ It brings consistency and alignment with your values in any variety of future situations which you may encounter or be involved in. You will act from your inner you.

The sound current piercing your subconscious while you are asleep is remarkably effective, especially if it is your own voice. At this time, words can more easily penetrate. Record and play banis, kirtan, or affirmation tapes.

I feel certain that you can confirm your identity as Khalsa, as a Yogi; however, you want to be self-illumined. As human beings, we are created to be radiant and filled with the Creator’s light. The following technique builds that radiance. Experience it and share it.
