"If the hand of God has guided you to become a Teacher, take this privilege and carry it on to the hilt." Yogi Bhajan

Join (or renew) your IKYTA membership today to be included in the 1997 Kundalini Yoga Teachers Directory on the Internet, and receive KUNDALINI RISING! In each issue you’ll find a new yoga set and meditation, valuable teacher information, discounts on yoga products, and more! You’ll also receive a membership discount on the Fourth Annual Kundalini Yoga Teachers Conference, August 1 & 2, 1997. Your membership supports IKYTA’s work in creating a professional and international identity for teachers of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan:

· In 1996 our ads in Yoga Journal resulted in many requests for referrals to Kundalini Yoga Teachers and information about our Teacher Training programs.

· In 1996 the IKYTA Board finalized the content of KRI Level I International Teacher Training Certification, which includes the Basics of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Practice; Basic Humanology, and Introduction to Yogic and Western Anatomy. Teacher Training materials are near completion.

· In 1996 The Code of Ethics and Professional Standards for Kundalini Yoga Teachers was created by the Siri Singh Sahib Yogi Bhajan and the IKYTA Board.

· In 1996 over 500 teachers received KRI Level I Certification - through KRI Teacher Training, The Master’s Touch, and Grandfathering - which furthers IKYTA’s goal of creating a professional association.

· In 1996 sixty-one new teachers took the opportunity to "mega-multiply" themselves by planting a seed with their first Gurudakshina contribution. In 1996 we also received our first contribution via e-mail!

Many teachers have asked for newsletter articles and conference workshops on how to increase class size and attract more people to Kundalini Yoga. Each issue of KUNDALINI RISING! features a teacher sharing their successful marketing ideas. We’d like to make another suggestion for multiplying the size of your classes -- giving back to the source of the teachings, Yogi Bhajan, via Gurudakshina. Let us know if your classes grow as a result!

Please make your Gurudakshina contributions payable to: 3HO-Gurudakshina, and mail to the address below. For a 1997 Membership Form, contact: Nam Kaur Khalsa, 3HO IKYTA; Route 2 Box 4 Shady Lane; Espanola, NM 87532. Ph: (505)-753-0423 Fax: 753-5982
