Dear Prosperity Paths
Dear Prosperity Paths,

When you are a student on financial aid, money is tight. Even the financial aid office calculates for you what you need to earn to make up for what cannot be granted, unless you want to take out more loans. I had many expenses and was making a small, fixed amount of money. How could I continue to tithe as a student, which to me meant poverty, until I could earn a real living? Then I thought, won't I always be having expenses? Should I wait until all my college debts are paid until I can give back again? What is prosperity? Perhaps my education is really part of the flow of my prosperity that I am investing in the future; the Guru is with me now, and I can be prosperous now. After all, the Guru had blessed me with the opportunity for the education and the part-time job to help support it. So, putting normal budget limits aside, l created an opening for the flow of prosperity. I gave a tenth of my earnings from January, when l had ceased giving, until the present. Two days after l mailed the check, a relative called me, asked me how I was doing, acknowledged that graduate school testing and applications were expensive, and that I would need a professional outfit for interviews. My relative offered to send six times the amount I had just sent to the Guru. What a miracle! For me, the key is trust in God and Guru to provide for my soul's destiny, and in the reality of the teachings on tithing. I tried it, you can too. Sat Nam.
