History In The Making
History in the Making
M.S.S. S. Guru Amrit Kaur Khalsa
Secretary General of Sikh Dharma

The Archives are our international treasure. For over a quarter of a century we have been collecting. Now we need to better preserve and organize them in order to serve our communities now and the future generations to come when all of humanity will be inspired by this priceless legacy.

The dictionary defines archives as "records." Of course, our primary contribution to Sikh history is the 25 years of teachings given by the Siri Singh Sahib. The gifts, art, weapons, jewelry, and music that have been donated to the Siri Singh Sahib and to Sikh Dharma also record our history, value system and mission.

If we were to categorize the archives, we could put them in two buildings, so to speak: one a Museum to display and preserve all of the artifacts; and the other a Library, which would safely house all of the audio, video and printed material for further research and product development.

In honor of our 25th Anniversary year we formed a Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. Our Kundalini Yoga Teachers have consistently requested that the teachings be made more available in various formats. An investment of time, funds and personnel is necessary to accomplish this vision. A vision that I am sure we all have prayed for. It is time. We are ready to progress in this area. Let the 25th Anniversary year be the year that we lauunch this task in earnest.

If you have ideas or time to serve this goal of transforming the archives into cutting edge preservation, accessibility and product production; then please contact Guru Roop Kaur or Nam Kaur at the New Mexico Headquarters. If you would like to help fund this cause, the Archives Project, please send your tax deductible contributions to Dasvandh at International Headquarters, PO Box 351149, L.A. CA. 90035. Please indicate your contributions are for the Archives.

God Bless you all,
MSS S Guru Amrit Kaur Khalsa
