"I’d like to congratulate you for

Yogi Bhajan, Teachers Conference, June 16, 1995
You Deserve to be Recognized...Kundalini Yoga Grandfathering Certification
You’ve been teaching for ten or twenty years and you’ve never been officially "certified" by KRI, so you may wonder, why now? What will Grandfathering Certification do for me? KRI Certification gives you official recognition as a Certified Teacher of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga.
KRI Certification will:
- Give new yoga students more reason to select your name from the IKYTA Teachers Directory
- Show your professional status on your flyers, brochures and business cards
- Open more doors to corporations and health-related institutions that require a Teaching Certificate
- Establish your identity as a Certified Professional among other yoga organizations
Grandfathering Fee - IKYTA members - $275; Non-members - $350.
The one-time window for Grandfathering will be open from June 15, 1995 through August 31, 1996, only. After that time, all teachers will need to take the standard KRI Teacher Training Course if they wish to be certified.
"KRI Certified" will be printed next to the name of each Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher in the annual Kundalini Yoga Teachers Directory. Although at this time KRI Certification is not a requirement for membership in the Association, we are planning to offer more and more benefits to KRI certified members each year. Join the Association now to receive all the benefits of membership in 1995, including Membership discounts on:
- Grandfathering Certification (a $75 savings)
- The new Teachers Curriculum, Women: Lunar Beings
- Yoga manuals, audio & video tapes and CDs featured in the newsletter KUNDALINI RISING!
- Audio or video tapes of Yogi Bhajan’s 1994 & 1995 Teachers Conference Addresses
For a Grandfathering application or IKYTA Registration form, contact Nam Kaur, IKYTA Coordinator, at (505) 753-0423. Submit your application and the $26 fee and you will receive eligibility notification within 30-60 days.
