Going Home - The Divine Journey
Going Home: The Divine Journey
Dr. Kartar Singh Khalsa

The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) always reminds us that this life is not reality, and that the true reality is when we go Home at the end. The journey home is an internal process of conscious evolution. The external world is only Maya where the passion-play occurs. We come to this world to work on our Karma, to polish and refine ourselves so that we can go home and reunite with God.

How do we do this internal work? Let us count the ways: Bani, Bana, Seva, Simran, and Dasvandh. With these technologies we align ourselves internally, balance ourselves, and enhance our direct relationship to Infinity. Because if we can restore our Infinite relationship on the finite plane of this lifetime, then we have begun our journey home.

What is our support system on this journey? Why, Dharma, of course! Dharma gives us that safe place where we can go through our evolution of consciousness where we can work out our childhood dramas and traumas, where we have support through our process of burning off our karma. It is critical that we have our environments of ashrams, schools, businesses, and Gurdwaras: they are sacred places to support our growth and change.

Through our support of each other and our communities, we truly give each other the opportunity to serve, and through our service we support each other on our journey Home. We inspire each other to keep up with all our graceful habits of sadhana. This process is so personally impersonal, that truly all we can do is know ourselves and serve each other. It is truly a pleasure to have the support of this technology and the company of the holy as we make our way home. Blessings to you on this Divine journey.
