As many of you know the Dasvandh office completed its first annual phonathon this last November. It was great to speak with everyone across the country and hear your prosperity experiences and address your inquiries. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the phonathon volunteers whose hard work and commitment contributed to the success we experienced. And of course, a big thank you to those of you who responded to the Tenth Masters’ hukam, either giving for the first time, recommitting yourself to give, or increasing your Dasvandh commitment.
1996 offers us a great opportunity to expand our base of donors, as we begin to educate and cultivate the 3HO community about this core decree of the teachings: giving back a tenth of our day to our spirit and a tenth of our income to the Infinite. We are already seeing an increase in tithing from some yoga students who are experiencing the power of Dasvandh!
The Dasvandh office is continuing to promote the program for Electronic Funds Transfer, the automatic debit system which guarantees us a set amount of funds per month to support programs that do make a difference.
Up until November, 19.7% of Khalsa households were giving to Dasvandh. The phonathon increased that number to 22%. Look at what we’ve built with this level of participation. Imagine what we can do when it doubles and triples!
Commit yourself today. It is this type of giving that brings the greatest return: faith in the Infinite and freedom from fears of limitation and scarcity. Giving freely becomes its own greatest reward.
