Prosperity and Service
A few years ago, the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) said, "By 2007, you have to be known by your service," and the impact of that statement has reverberated throughout our worldwide communities ever since. As individuals, organizations, corporations, teachers, and families we ask: what is service, how do we serve, and how are we known for our service?

What is Service
"Seva means you deliver another person in the face of difficulty. It means you save the person in the face of calamity, you protect the person in the face of non-reality and bring home the reality. This all is Seva. In any form, shape or projection, if you can elevate a person's consciousness, spirit, self, environments, or life, it is Seva."

"The only power we have is prayer; prayer for our goodness to serve others. When you shall serve others, God shall serve you. Make no misunderstanding in this. When you uplift others, God shall uplift you. When you grace others, God shall grace you. When you give others, God shall give you. There's no other way relating to God, the Creator. If you cannot see God in all, you cannot see God at all."

How do We Serve
Service is a cornerstone of human existence, and it can be one of the most profoundly fulfilling acts of human kindness. It takes on shapes and forms that are as personal and varied as we are as individuals. This month, we invite you to examine how you are or can be known for your service.

Dasvandh’s Service
In the Dasvandh Office, our service is the mission of spreading the teachings of the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) throughout the world - teachings on peace, faith, commitment to personal growth, Kundalini Yoga, meditation, prayer and Sikhism. We are serving each one of you and thousands of others. You can help us continue our service to humanity by:
* Giving generously and periodically increasing your Dasvandh donations
* Letting students, friends, colleagues, and community members know they can receive Prosperity Paths free of charge by submitting their mailing address
* Send us your stories of service!

"You want to be respected? You want to be appreciated? You want to be known? You want to be loved? Serve people. Water has to flow to nurture the land. Quench the thirst of somebody's soul." Yogi Bhajan
